Large Russian Silver Gilt Enamel Presentation Egg, 3artel

Easter egg opening in two parts in vermeil and polychrome cloisonné enamels.
It presents a rich decoration covering foliage, stylized foliage scrolls, floral motifs and geometric palmettes. The enamel, of great vivacity of tones, declines shades of royal blue, turquoise blue, white, olive green and brick red, delimited by a fine network of silver filigree. The middle belt is highlighted with a frieze of eggs and repetitive geometric elements. The interior retains its original fine gold gilding.
Moscow work. Early 20th century
Marked with the title hallmark 84 zolotniks (kokoshnik head turned to the right) and the hallmark of the 3rd Artel of Moscow (“3А” in Cyrillic).
