A pair of French gilt-bronze Neo-Renaissance tazzas in the manner of Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810–1892). The shallow circular bowls are relief-cast with detailed classical battle scenes and chased foliate borders.
Each bowl is supported on a central baluster stem surrounded by seated winged putti, above a domed base decorated with scrolling arabesques. France, circa 1870–1880.
