A pair of small cylindrical trinket boxes or powder jars crafted in yellow-green uranite (uranium) glass. Featuring smooth glass walls with heavy bases, fitted with gilded metal / brass hinged rim mounts. Exhibits intense green fluorescence under ultraviolet (UV) light, characteristic of uranium glass.
France or Bohemia, late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1890–1920).

Uranium glass (ouraline) gained great popularity in late 19th-century Europe for its vibrant yellowish-green tint and striking luminescent reaction under UV light. These hinged cylindrical vanity jars are typical examples of refined Belle Époque dressing table accessories.
