XVIII century Sevres porcelain service in Celeste blue painted with a basket of mixed flowers over crossed palm leaves and cornflowers, within a gilt cartouche with scrollwork designs, the borders with further scrollwork and garlands of flowers in gilt, comprising a twin handled tray, two coffee cans and saucers, and a cream jug on three feet, saucers and tray with interlaced blue LL mark, painted mark 9 for Merault and date letter Z for 1776, cups with grey LL mark and signs of other marks underneath, jug unmarked, tray with old paper label for ‘Salisbury & South Wilts Museum, Loan Collection 187 Sir F Bathurst Proprietor’
