Pineapple cut crystal box or casket, featuring diamond-point (pointe de diamant) geometric cutting and gilt-bronze (ormolu) mounts. The hinged body is enclosed by a pierced, openwork gilded metal waistband, topped with a stylized foliage finial, and supported on a diamond-cut pedestal foot over a stepped, footed gilt-bronze base.
