A round Geneva-style snuff or trinket box in hand-painted enamel with a gilt-metal mount. The domed lid and body combine a deep cobalt-blue ground with white borders, painted with bouquets of roses and wildflowers.
The decoration is enriched with raised, pearl-like enamel beads and gilded scrollwork. Switzerland, Geneva, 19th century. Very good condition.
