BOHEMIAN CRYSTAL (Persian / Islamic Style)
Rare pair of large perfume bottles and their arrow caps, flat or flask gourd shape.
In blown and molded crystal, decorated with gold and polychrome enamels in light relief. The flattened circular body presents a central medallion surrounded by foliage, garlands and seedlings of small flowers (roses, cornflowers, daisies). The long stretched neck is punctuated with rings and ends with a large stopper in the shape of a faceted needle or arrow, richly gilded with fine gold. The base rests on a flared hexagonal base.
Bohemia. Biedermeier / Second Empire period, circa 1840-1860.
Height: 55 cm (with caps)
Slight wear to the gilding, some pearls missing.
